dear qualcosa-- This haiku could be also for last week's prompt, disguises.
if this poem is about your current state, I surely hope you find a place where you can weep and mourn with great openness. Disenfranchised grief takes much longer to heal... sweetness on your journey--
..exclusivey,in terms of poetry (impersonal,non-autobiographical) 'smile even though the heart weeps'_is a beautifully expressed paradox..many thanks..

sweetness on your journey--
I agree with Beth, a painfilled smile can be a disguise as well as a contradiction, a paradox. This is tender, yet direct.

Disguise, contradiction, inversion--and yet a teller of truth if we know how to look. Deb speaks for me--tender and direct. Thanks.
nice one
I connect really well to what u write. Wow ...

Good advice, too!
Wow, only a few words but it packs a powerful punch. A paradox, indeed...
