childhood memory

slipping through the cracks
of ordinary life
during a movement
a stirring of air
when i smell her perfume
slipping through the cracks
of celestial veil
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
one single impression
Oh, I have those moments, too! Only in mine, I smell tobacco smoke...and it's the only time it isn't offensive to me!
slipping through the cracks of celestial veil - just perfect
strange how just a scent can send my mind into our memories, even forgotten ones
Some beautiful lines in this one, and the subject is marvellous.
Celestial veil is perfect~ it reminds me of the brief moments when I know I have just smelled my Grandmother's scent, straight from Heaven!
I know these moments. You capture the delicate, fleeting nature of the moment so well. Thanks.
Hi Ms. D. Bello, you are making me think. I have fleeting thoughts of those no longer here but I hadn't thought at all what triggered this thinking. Great!
Nice and simple and gets you right back to that time.
Maybe, qualcosa...those impressions, those memories, maybe all memories... are tied to ancestral energies.
In the old movie 'always' with Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss one of the key concepts is that inspiration always comes from the other side of that veil...
Thanks for reminding us!
Perfect words bring forth memories from a deep place. Lovely, lovely.
How beautiful - i think our loved ones are sometimes closer than we could image (maybe as close as a veil?) Freshly cut grass does it for me...
