winter wonders

cascading of white
against silhouetted trees
red bird on bare branch
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in downy repose
winter falling from grey sky
wrap the quilt closer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

sweet repose, midday
unlikely moment of rest
drifting like snowflakes

one deep breath

I love the contrast of the red bird in the first one and the winter falling from the sky in the second one.
