fork in the road

i came upon
a fork in the road
perfect companion
to my knife & spoon
beckoning a bivouac
for the night
& dinner by the fire,
time to consider
the three-pronged joy
of the way i will go
when morning light
urges me to strike the tent
& move on.

Neat idea -- a fork in the road as an invitation to stop and stay.

What a fun and unexpected take on 'fork in the road'! Thanks for stopping by 2singingtrees, and for your generous comment. I visited your photo a day blog as well. Beautiful images, great eye! Spring is definitely sprung in your world. We're still looking at old snow, but not for long....!

A nice take on the prompt.

I like' it!
I like the 'three-pronged' concept, of course, left, right, or back.

If I were you I'd ask the fork to come along with me. It seems to be a nice companion for your knife & spoon. Useful too.

Dang, I like that!
Time around a fire to decide which of the three tines will lead you on!

Many thanks--
