i came upon
a fork in the road
perfect companion
to my knife & spoon
beckoning a bivouac
for the night
& dinner by the fire,
time to consider
the three-pronged joy
of the way i will go
when morning light
urges me to strike the tent
& move on.

Neat idea -- a fork in the road as an invitation to stop and stay.
An exquisite invitation.
I like this very much. A time to stop and think. So necessary.
Beautiful little moment, love the detail.
I love the ease with which this moves ~ comfortable, thoughtful and timely...
What a fun and unexpected take on 'fork in the road'! Thanks for stopping by 2singingtrees, and for your generous comment. I visited your photo a day blog as well. Beautiful images, great eye! Spring is definitely sprung in your world. We're still looking at old snow, but not for long....!
Full of exciting possibilities, and keenness to experience those. Well written. Thank you
I like this a lot. Fork in the road and dinner by fire.
such a graceful poem..many thanks..
I love it! What a great idea.
This is my kind of fork in the road. Lovely verse.
I like the flow and I like how you ended the poem, very nice.
I like this one.."I came upon- time to consider"
I think I will, thanks for the invite ... as I need a moment to breath!
A nice take on the prompt.
I like' it!
I like the 'three-pronged' concept, of course, left, right, or back.
If I were you I'd ask the fork to come along with me. It seems to be a nice companion for your knife & spoon. Useful too.
..
Dang, I like that!
Time around a fire to decide which of the three tines will lead you on!
Many thanks--
