farewell

word
slipped through the keys
onto blank screen
fare thee well
out there
in cyber-where?
streaming across the globe
by just one stroke
farewell...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
one single impression
I like how you combined the melancholy of a farewell with the modern technology of the computer world. It was a very intriguing combination...great read!
The feelings of the heart become binary numbers, illusions, deep feelings that go where they will. Beautiful poem.
We write them up and send them out. I like the way you associate this with so much more.
love this! Amazing the power words have...and everytime I think of how e-mail works, or any sort of online communication it blows me away
:-) .. once you write them and someone read them, it's like watching our babies become adults and leave home. Yes, a great read indeed!
..
that word won't come back
did it really go
'control "Z"' command
hope it might return
..
BTW, Adi is fine. She is still living with Mrs. Jim and me. She was ready to spend a week with Karen, our daughter, who is her 'mother' (real owner).
dear one--
I think of this also--like pebbles on a big pond, plunk, plunk, ripple, reverberate...bye bye words...go see what mischief and fun you can create in the world!
Thanks for this sweet take on the prompt!
cyber where indeed. It's boggling, isn't it? Very nicely done.
It is true that each time we hit Send on our computer...it could be our Farewell for all times while on this planet.
I enjoyed reading this poem.
