autumn

exhale of summer
one achingly beautiful
red leaf releasessea of field
yellow bloom belies the turn
soon to brownautumn wind
whispering through tired leaves
of firelight to come

I love the first one and it goes so beautifully with the image

These are all full of melancoly. Quite beautiful ...

I think one color does lead to another. Each autumn change is, indeed, ominous.

A really gentle image - the leaf exhaling - and one I'll keep in mind on my "color tour" this fall.

Very pretty verses. My choices, 1, 3, then 2. Mrs. Jim and I would like to visit the Carolina's this fall.
Every year we talk about doing it. Houston isn't very pretty until late November or early December as far as foliage is concerned.

All three of these haiku are lovely. I think my favorite is the first-- I love the opening line.

I like how you use color and warmth replacing the loss of summer with hope in the next season. I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite - nicely done.

Great fall images. The idea of tired leaves resting is nice.

Each haiku is so lovely and you chose the perfect images to go with them.

I liked the way you moved from the idea of the leaf exhaling summer in the first, summer's hanging on in the second to looking forward in the third.

These are great images to go along with your poems. I can identify with those leaves this afternoon.

All three are beautifull, but I love the lines,"autumn wind whispering through tired leave" That says so much about autumn. I found my way here from your other site, PIACERE. Your words and photos are breath taking! (Thank you for your kind words, and I'm happy to have found my way here).

Absolutely beautiful poetry. Circular in totality, and each piece is so lovely by itself. Almost holographic this is!

Thank you and thank you for stopping by my post on this prompt.
