homecoming

standing in the shade
a glimpse of home filters through
shift of summer breezein the longing, light
shining down on the journey
home is in your handpathway leading home
gliding over sea surface
spyglass safe return
one single impression

I like all of them, but especially the second one-the idea that home is who we are with is excellent.

Home in the light, how with those we love, home with an eye that looks out for us. Wonderful!

I love the first one, sweet words to describe the thought of home

That second photo is very touching. I do like your photo-poems!

Beautiful interpretations of this prompt. Your photo choices were perfect too.

These are all very nice. My favorite is the second one. I really like the line, 'home is in your hand'.

Hi Qualcosa, you did good. Like I told someone (re: your second picture) "home is where the heart is." Not original but I had to say it still again for you.
Thank you for peeking in again, if you made a list of 'bloggers who try to write poems,' I might make that list. Reference your sidebar titles.

I did peek also at your dog blog, I like your Beagle. On my original blog our Beagle, Adi, is present quite often.
She has a little meme,

Good homecoming poems, all, but the second one struck me as just right.

great portrayal of home is where we are.. especially like the train station.. it is a train station right... in transition, always, but does it really matter.. in some respects no.. in others oh yes so important to feel your things around you... also like the spyglass view...

home is in your hand

so simply said.. and yet so profound in the same movement....

I especially enjoy the second poem as well. It is so true: HOME is where the ones we love are. :)

Your second photo is reminiscent of the many grand old Canadian train stations I used to frequent in my younger days....always distant from my maritime home. Your words are very meaningful to me.

The first two resonated strongly in my heart. Beautiful.

Beautiful!
The second is my fave, captures the longing for home... and the sweetness of discovering belonging.
Thank you.
