belonging

where do i belong
traveling on a journey
yearning for your face
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
quiet firelight
surrounding my evening chill
autumn belonging
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
folded in embrace
the circle of what matters
sighing depth of soul
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
miles of distance
merely separating touch
home, where the heart is
There are times when "touch, home and where the heart is" are a far, far country for my traveling husband. And yet, belonging. Thank you!
Very nice collection you've got here. I can relate being many miles from where I grew up. Thank you.
Each one is beautiful and speaks from and of the heart. Really lovely. I especially love the line "sighing depth of soul."
christine...when my husband hugs me i tell him i am in the circle of what matters & that is the inspiration for it...glad you have enjoyed.
zapped...i too am far from the first home, but still feel a belonging, both here & there.
sognatrice...i am sure, with your distance, you really *get* these.
clare...thank you! don't you just know you belong when it comes from the deep places!
I really like the third one.
Where is the first picture taken?
It looks like the area around the ghetto in Rome...
