...i would
write the poem
that begs some ink
letting it
slowly drip from
the pen's tip
without a pause
in fluid release
until exhaustion
replaced the clamour
of words.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...i would
take the slow train
to the places in my dreams
without an itinerary
ambling about
a destination i chose
when the whistle sounded
just right.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...i would
sit in the midst
of those i love
& just be grateful
for one whole minute
without another thought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...today i have the time.
oh that was a work of art... truly.. .luscious... i wish i had written it myself.. and that my dear doesn't happen often........
This is quite lovely, especially the last part.
I would like to do the same. I can relate.
I agree with Amias, I would love to do that.
Excellent, with a marvellous message at the end.
These are lovely. I would love to ride that train, too!
The delightful ending made my evening. Such affirmations are wonderful.
Superb! Your words lend hope to those who are full of stress and empty of time. A minute. One minute. One full minute. Wonderful.
long train whistles stretching over cold fields get right down inside ya, don't they? i am so childishly lewd today - I misread pen's tip as my concupiscent eye skipped greedily on to fluid release :o
oh yes, dear qualcosa...you have the time!!
I especially loved the second and third verses to this sweet journey.
thank you for your big, beautful heart!
this is uplifting. we have time!! great thoughts.
This was a delightful journey in time and mind...one must grab the train while it is at the station.
I am glad you had the time today, these are good.
"if only i had time...
...i would
write the poem
that begs some" fingers
here on my keyboard
letters come fast and slow
depending on my mind
pausing now and then
to pick up another thought.
make a mistake
backspaced I'll go
fix it better and
type some more
that's the way
I right my poems
when I have the time
You slow train is an excellent idea, seems we always pick the fast train because we don't have more time.
I hardly ever sit in the midst but reading all the poems this morning is just great! Thank you for yours, I like it a lot.
In case you wondered, the last verse, righting my poems is what I intended to write.
;-)
..
i really like the second stanza. free flowing. no plans but it will be a grand adventure
I can connect with all of these; a very lovely set. The travel time is especially wonderful. Thank you.
love em all but that slow train i hear the whistle callin....
That was simply marvelous! I love the idea of waiting until the whistle sounds just right! I make the time for things such as that!
Very enjoyable..I would sit in the midst of those I love and be grateful- nice
Love the second stanza and the train references.... when the train whistle sounds just right.... so inviting.
Oh, this is just lovely. Please please, may I come with. So many places to go so many people to love. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem
